State of Stuffs - February 2024

Hey, guys! This is a new idea we're trying out since we aren't really on social media anymore and want to keep people who aren't active on our Discord server updated on the state of the projects we're working on. We'll infrequently be making new posts like this here on our site whenever we feel it's warranted, so keep an eye out for these if you'd like to know where things are at with any of the projects we're doing. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

Currently, the Golden Wind batch is stalled and is not actively being worked on. Assuming no new Jojo anime projects are announced, we intend to come back to Golden Wind and complete the Blu-ray batch once we've subbed all 38 episodes of Stone Ocean. This project will take precedence over the Stone Ocean complete series Blu-ray batch.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean

Not much to say here other than that Stone Ocean is going fantastically right now. We've developed a sustainable workflow that has allowed us to release episodes fairly consistently and hope to complete the series before the year is over. So far episodes have been weekly, but don't expect that to always be the case or worry that we're going to slip back into releases spread months apart. Our improved life circumstances also contributed to making this possible, and we're so excited to eventually add Stone Ocean to the growing number of Jojo parts we've completely subbed. An eventual 38 episode complete series batch is planned, but work on it will not commence until the Golden Wind Blu-ray batch is completed.

Pocket Monsters (2019)

Batches for PM19 and Aim to be a Pokémon Master continue to be actively worked on, just slowly. They're very overdue and there's still a lot of work to do, but progress is being made. Our intent is to release the PM19 batch first, then Aim to be a Pokémon Master not long after.

Pocket Monsters (2023)

We continue to aim to release new episodes the same day they come out. Arc batches go up within a few weeks of an arc ending, and cour mini-batches go up during breaks between cours unless the end of an arc is in sight, in which case we wait until the arc ends and treat it as an arc batch. This project remains the highest priority for those of us working on Pokémon releases.

PokéTsume

Progress is slow. We don't have an ETA for when episode 3 will be out. Episodic releases will have very incomplete typesetting, which will be revised in a final series batch much further down the line.

K-On!

Season 1 at the very least should be out this year. Can't say much more than that for now.

Revolutionary Girl Utena

Progress is slow but steady. No ETA on Episode 27 at the moment. Once we get to episode 39, we'll put together a batch for episodes 25-39 and shift our focus to polishing the movie. Then, once we've had time to check for errors, we'll get a final batch out for the whole show. We plan to include both 5.1 and 2.0 audio with the final releases of both the show and the movie.

One Piece

We continue to aim to release new episodes the same day they come out, except for recaps. We're seeking typesetting help, please reach out to us on Discord if you'd like to lend a hand. Blu-ray volumes get done whenever we have the chance to give the episodes a QC pass. Pre-978 content similarly gets done when there's time to edit, TLC, and QC it. As an aside, the translation checker has been working with F-R on the Whole Cake Island arc.

Futari wa Precure

Not dropped, but it is on indefinite hold. No staff from either group on the project is actively working on it at the moment. We intend to get back to it when we're less busy with other projects.
